On June 20, 2024, the Research and Development of Standards and Testing team conducted the tests on the battery-powered locomotive (EV Locomotive) at Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ongoing testing supports the development of the second edition of the testing standards, specifically focusing on standards for testing electric charging stations (Charging Stations) for battery-powered locomotives. The tests measured electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) to ensure compliance with IEC 62920 (Photovoltaic Power Generating Systems - EMC Requirements and Test Methods for Power Conversion Equipment) and other related international standards, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Electromagnetic Emission Test: This test measures the electromagnetic waves emitted from electric charging stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.\tElectromagnetic Immunity Test: This test evaluates the capability of battery-powered locomotive equipment to resist external electromagnetic interference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.\tMagnetic Field Exposure Test: This test assesses the magnetic field exposure caused by direct current and alternating current to determine the intensity of magnetic fields that may affect the health of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These activities are part of the preparation of a set of battery-powered locomotive (EV Locomotive) testing standards that RTRDA has developed for use in Thailand in Phase 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
